DHARMA are a Buddhist Taiwanese extreme metal band from Taipei. Combining the intensity of death metal with the sound and teachings of the Buddhist sutras, to describe Dharma as extraordinary is nothing short of an understatement.
Bringing together elements of death metal, black metal and symphonic metal alongside traditional Taiwanese instruments, and vocals sung in Sanskrit and Mandarin Chinese (by a Canadian vocalist, no less) this unique sound and identity has drawn international acclaim and attention from leading heavy music press such as Metal Hammer and Metal Injection through to international news agencies such as Al Jazeera and the LA Times. Dharma have performed alongside acts such as Fleshgod Apocalypse, Suffocation, Gatecreeper and on festivals and events throughout Asia.
